Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of the children and only daughter born to Richard McCormick in 1956 was born in Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. Her father worked as a teacher, and her mother was home-based mom. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three older brothers. McCormick is always a lover of dancing, singing and performing puppet shows. At the tender age of six, McCormick won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. The result was that she would receive a telephone message to Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency asking if the young girl would consider pursuing careers within the entertainment business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964 as she appeared in the first commercial on TV for Mattel's newest doll "Baby Pattaburp." Her next job of note was a television commercial for "Chatty" the Cathy doll. The musical The Wind It then It breaks was staged in the La Jolla Playhouse and was subsequently followed. McCormick was selected in 1969 among 1,200 youngsters to play one of the oldest twin daughters in the TV program The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson and Robert Reed played newlyweds who were part of a family that was blended. The show lasted five years. In her book, Here's the story: surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in the year 2008 McCormick admitted that in the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity due to her onscreen twin brother and co-star Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16 and he was 19. The possibility was there as she explained. "But the timing of our deaths was not the right one."
