Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox had studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox played the flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. From 1977 until 1980 she served as the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British pop group. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her debut solo album Diva. This was released in 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite soul jazz blues tracks from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection comprised of four songs composed by Lennox. The E.P. is a companion piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a social activist, philanthropist, and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox began her solo career by releasing their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit songs includingWhy andWalking through Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. The album features covers of songs like No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums and one compilation album to her credit. |
