Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox survived off a student's stipend working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy about her performances in comparison to her peers. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox played the flute in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Between 1977 and 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. That was also where she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. It was a huge success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
