Shay Mitchellis a Canadian actor, model and businesswoman. Her most well-known role was in the role of Emily Fields from the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After excelling at dance and modelling, she wanted to take on acting and started taking classes in acting in Toronto. Mitchell was offered a few commercials, and guest appearances on a variety of television shows. Her breakthrough came when she was filmed as Emily Fields. Her acting skills were praised by both critics and fans. The well-known actress established herself on the screen in films such as DreamlandMother's Dayand The belonging of Hannah Grace. The role she played in the series of psychological thrillers "You" brought her more recognition. Alongside performing, she also dabbled in writing. Together with Michaela Blaney she wrote an adult novel titled Bliss. Shay Mitchell was raised in Ontario by her parents Mark Mitchell & Precious Gonzalez. Shay Mitchell was born on 10th April, 1987. The mother of Shay Mitchell is Filipina is her mother. Her father is Irish and Scottish. The cousin of Mitchell's has the name of Lea Salonga who is a famous musical theater performer and actress. Mitchell attended Rockridge Secondary School before moving onto West Vancouver Secondary. As a teenager, she had already worked as models for various companies across several countries. She travelled across the world to Barcelona Bangkok Hong Kong before getting back to Toronto and pursuing her studies in the art of acting at Toronto.
