Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted by the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and the harpsichord over three years. The budget of her was augmented by a student's allowance which she earned while working part-time to pay for her expenses. As a student at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and was contemplating a different route she could take. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. The singer was the primary member from The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began to work on her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it was released in 1992. It was a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tunes that she grew up with. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is an accompaniment to the artwork she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... The album is also her first release on her own.
